Is there an intake system that pairs with that hood? Otherwise, how is it a functional ram air?

Does that not reflect off the hood?

    lol Fair enough.

But seriously, though...how is that a functional ram air hood without an intake that pairs with it (or is there one?)? I'm genuinely curious. lol

I think they want you to cut off the top of your airbox or something. Guess I have never seen anyone actually use this hood with the scoop doing anything.

They dont even list how it hooks up on the website for the company that makes it.

Oh wait, I just noticed that under the hood, it funnels it to the air box. My bad. lol

So the fiberglass hood has a molded channel in it that takes the air from the scoop and directs it to where the intake box is. Cutting the stock hoods scoop would just make a hole above the engine cover about 20 inches shy of being near the intake.

But, I found this intake that I think would pair with the fiberglass hood well as the duct thats in the hood lines up with open top of this intake.

Yeah, I edited my post. I just noticed underneath that it seems to funnel the air to the box. My bad. lol

I saw right after I posted my response, so ignore the first half of the response, but the link I put there would still allow for the fiberglass hood to draw air from the scoop. Its still going to get pretty wet in the rain, but at least it wouldnt pool in the intake.

as you see.........it all depends on your definition of "functional" LOL
Things can be put there that have a function. LOL.
