I am looking at buying a new mp3 player and not an Ipod. I am looking at picking up a Fiio X3 off of Amazon and I have some noobish questions about the compatibility with the 2014 Tacoma.

I don't have the nav in my 2014, just the 6" touch screen. Currently with my dieing Ipod Touch I can just plug it in and the screen discovers it and you can browse everything on it. I am wondering if anyone has had experiences using other MP3 players with the touch screen. Does it react and work the same?

I highly doubt anything that isn't iPod will integrate like Apple does. Best bet is you'll have to hook it up to the 3.5mm port and skip songs on the MP3 player.
