Since there is a post about leaking diffs , I wonder how many miles some members have with no leaks. I have a 2016 TRD OR DC with 12,000 miles and no leaks.

No leaks for me - one of the few things I seem to have skirted with this truck...

Mine is not leaking but maybe that's because they already replaced the entire carrier assembly once before.

About to roll 10k. Last time I looked around 6k I thought It looked like there may soon be a slight seep. Now it's seeping on both sides. I have a feeling most of these are going to sleep at some point. I recommend going out and checking if you haven't in a while, before posting you don't have any leaks

What's the fix for this again? New studs, seal and oil? Or more substantial?

I'm set to buy an axle from a 2016 TRD off-road automatic for a project truck. Seller says it's not part of the recall but I'd like to know what needs to be done in case it turns out to leak

16k miles, no leaks, and I'm on the recall list. I did torque the carrier nuts to 18 ft lb early on.

If it's not part of the recall and just seeping they just retorque the nuts. Depending on how bad it looks they might put a new seal in. If it's really bad and they think the gears and axles might be effected then they will put a new rear end in

So no new bolts?? Guys at the stealership told me that was part of the fix because the supplier gave them studs that ended up being to soft. But he wasn't in service and could have been wrong
