Has anyone installed a cheaper non OEM camshaft position sensor on their 1GRFE V6. If so how is your engine running? What brand? Asking for a friend. Upgrading on a budget. Thank's in advance.

Like every thing else it will be hit or miss.

The real Question Is do you feel lucky.

It would depend where you friend lives if the truck shutting down might put them in a location where at least on fully automatic weapon might decide things in there favor .

Are you replacing them both?? Just why has it or they failed??

I have used the Cheap Napa one @ 42.00 list in a emergency .
