Any updates....I ordered the Moog Brand LCA assemblies with ball joint to replace my LCA bushings. At $100 a piece from RockAuto seems like a good investment of my time. Want to know what you think. Been on almost every thread on why I shouldn't buy Moog but the hell with it, I have had Moog BJ on my truck for over 150k miles and they seem fine.

I have acDelco stock replacement so far so good. Compared to the stock there seems to be no difference

I have received the Moog replacement LCA with Ball Joints, seem to be a nice fit. I also purchase some used LCA from a 2013 Tacoma with over 20K miles on them. I am going to compare the Moog replacement to the used stock ones and then I'll make a decision on whether to install the new or used ones. Either way, I need them to get alignment right. I'll keep you guys posted.

Yeah just use a torch and replace the ball joint. What could possibly go wrong?

Old thread but were those the Moog's? How'd they hold up?

They did fine for the time they served. I ended up just pressing in a new ball joint on my old LCA and then I sold the replacement LCAs I had bought to another member going through the same thing.

I appreciate the response. They were moog's, right?

Just curious, what was the reasoning behind doing the job a second time to put your oem's back on?

Ive used dorman on other vehicles with no complaints, moog is decent but piss me off. For instance each time i get a pair of say ball joints or tie rods, ill have diff color boots since they just rebox other brands, quality is fine though

I prefer OEM when possible. The moogs were great to hold me over and keep the truck drivable whilst I was replacing the ball joint in the OEM arm.

I agree, will try to go OEM if possible. Money wise it's a big difference but i'd rather not do the job twice.

I have yet to find a Dorman part that would hold a candle to OEM or Moog. Dorman makes a complete line of parts for people (or used car dealers) who care only about price and nothing about long term reliability.

Do you have a part number for the moog replacement LCA? I found a bunch of them on Rockauto, but they dont say they are for 4WD. I dont want to buy something that wont fit. I have heard good things about Mevotech now but I cant find one for 4WD as well. Any input would be awesome.

All joint is easy. I can have both lowers done in 30 min tops.

What brand are they? Seems like anything non oem people say won’t last at all. I’m going with the moogs that are about $100 a piece on Amazon. I’m hoping they last a couple years. I just don’t see why people would make parts that can’t last 2 or more years. Hopefully the moogs do
