Not sure whether this is water under the bridge or not, but I thought I'd post an update. I just picked up my SR5 this morning. The spare is one of the first things I checked. On my truck, I received a full size, NON Temp spare. It's the real deal. For what it's worth...

    Awesome.

Now drop it and flip it over so you can check the air pressure on it without having to drop it in the future lol.

Dropping it to check pressure is trivial IMO. Regardless of that, it will be removed and stored with the OEM wheels/tires as soon as replacements are installed so I'm not particularly concerned about it. LOL

S.E. Virginia. The truck came out of the Veracruz (Guanajuato factory) and shipped to Newark where it spent a month in the QC hold, and finally made it to the dealer in Virginia Beach earlier this week.

Excellent, I'd like to think the stink I caused made a difference. Recently, I've heard some say it makes a difference which upgrade package(s) each SR5 has. But Toyota & their distributors have been unresponsive about such details, so there may not be a definitive answer.
BTW, here's a pic of my "early" '24 SR5. ('Been away from this forum as the mod chose to excile me.) And the front air dam has been removed.

During my rodent damage ordeal, I learned about the transmission lock-up override switch. Since most all of this forum's members probably already know about this "secrete & hidden" feature. I spare the details unless anyone needs to know. But be aware that under certain conditions, the auto transmission can lockup in park, even when the engine still starts and runs.

'Can't tell from your picture, is the spare wheel alloy or steel? Thanks W00die

I bet if you take the wheel out and look on the outer side of the wheel there’s a decal saying “temporary use only”.

My gen2 '12 TRD OR had that sticker on the steel spare wheel. 'Replaced the tire, not sure if that makes it non-temporary or not. I think anything that makes a spare different than the other 4, gets the sticker. (tire or wheel)

The reason its "temporary' is because of the lug nuts. They are able to secure steel rims but are not intended to be used full time.

The chamfer wears quickly on them and the washer rattles around.

All full sized tires are speed rated for the vehicle properly. Only space savers have speed rating limits.

Yes but "full sized" now has a new definition. (spot-on correct though) Another reason I don't like it when they cheapen-out on the spare.

It's steel. So, yes, as others have mentioned - the wheel itself is Temp Use only.

    Same on my 22.
I want to pick up a matching rim for my Sport rims and do a 5 tire rotation.
