Would some black rims look good with my stock 17 inch tires? What rims do you guys recomend for the price. Do not want to pay over 1000.

Rims are completley based on whether "YOU" like them or not. however if your an offroader you may want a set of rims with Beadlock but they may break your $1000 budget. Some popular rim manu. for tacomas are Dick Cepek, Moto Metal, Mickey Thompson and XD Series Wheels. Wheelsforless.com may get you there, try them!

I was thinking of powdercoating the stockers, but my local guy wants $400! For that kind of money Id be better off spending $600 on a nice aftermarket set, and selling my 17's. But I dont ever plan on a lift, so I dont think I can go much more than 17x8, and have to be carefull about the offset.
This is a great site I have used before to make sure I wont have clearance issues. It lets you compare your current setup to whatever you might be considering.
