^Subaru ATF hose spring clamps do in fact sag while the hose is still perfectly pliable. I've chased down four ATF leaks because of this phenomenon. They were all factory installed clamps from Japan. Each time I replaced the spring clamp with a worm clamp, to avoid disconnecting the hose, and the leak didn't reappear.

Pop the hood and take a look, see if you can see a leak yourself. Just because its not hitting the ground doesn't mean there's no leak. Those cars have huge plastic belly pans on them

What a strange rule to enforce so harshly on a forum where people talk about upgrades and such and increase in prices for any reason seems to be on-topic (as long as the politics of it stay out of it).

that's likely where the rule came from.

my uncle and my dad for instance can't have a simple conversation about what one of us are doing for the day without working into how _____ political party is raping the public in some tangentially related but unrealistic way.

Did you ever notice the black spots on the highway just, after a dip/bump on the road... yep, that's where the oil drops reside !

Well it's 8 years old, bought it new, paid it off in 3 years, for a passenger car it drives very well,
gets a minimum of 26mpg in the city, is comfy.... zero problems with it.... I'd buy another one in
fact I bought a 2025 Crosstrek for my daughter. I'd like to buy one for my son. And if we ever need
to buy another passenger car it will be a Subaru. I rented 3 vehicles for a week before I (we) decided
on the Subaru. It won out on all levels hands down.

Banned for life???? You admitted on that Subaru forum one time that you went nuts and floored it and exceeded 25 mph but kept it under 30 mph (top speed) on the Interstate for miles and with your left blinker on to save gas didn't you?.... yeah... I thought so...

    Ha ha hardy har.
I'll put that 2017 Forester up against any Tacoma out there and off the line and beyond it will blow its doors.
It'll get better gas mileage to boot.

@2021SR5V64WD should've called it an "ugliness tax" instead of tariff

Ha or something like that - wouldn't exactly call it 'ugly' - compared to other passenger vehicles I see on the road.
One in particular looks like a dumpster...

The Forester serves both form and function well.
    Is comfortable to drive.
    Responds well.
The AWD is a dream to drive.
    Gas mileage is great.
    Roomy.

What's not to like. I put a set of Wildpeaks on it at 44,000 miles and they really behave nicely.

If anyone is ever in the market for a passenger vehicle, you should at least take one for a spin.

I don't like this what ever it would be called toughening the look of CUV with the massive ftont end. Bronco Sport has that bumper bar. No thanks save that for the BOF vehicles. I don't buy CUV so it don't matter what I think. Mazda probably looks the best right now.
