I had a 07 1500 hemi. Everything stock and only took it on trails down dirt roads on the ranch for the most part. Yes several recalls and several EGR valve issues. As far as AC goes my radiator fan quit on me eventually. No other issues. I only put 135k miles on it because I drove a work truck most of the time.

It can be done by one person in a garage.

But we don't know your skills or tool availability.

Asking says you must not have experience. So at least find someone who does and ply them with pizza and cold drinks to get them coach and assist.

maybe some guys can elaborate more

Needle bearing while he's got it apart?

    He won't need UCA's.

Seems like the best time to do it since a bunch of the work overlaps with changing out the struts.

I did virtually the same as you, but went 1.5" on my Billy 51s all around and installed AALs from @HeadStrong Off-Road . I also went with tall skinny tires, i.e. 255/80/17 ( Falken Wildpeak AT/3W ).

I ordered the bilsteins 5100’s all around and then a 1.5” AAL. Apparently Covid is really slowing everything down delivery/shipping wise.

    n/m I found this thread finally :) . https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/coil-compressor.490973/

Just tagging in on this thread, as I am about to instal a pair of 5100 fronts in my 2020. I don't have a full on spring compressor so am thinking of using either a strut spring compressor set from HF ( ) or using my jack seen below; Any recommendations or experiences between this two options?? Thanks :)

I've used the "No spring compressor" method on a number of previous lifts (not the Taco.. yet) and it worked great.
