After 13 months in Seattle, I accepted a role in Northern Indiana. While in Seattle, I managed to keep my 2008 Mustang GT Bullitt garaged. I only took it out when there was no rain and no traffic, which was only twice a month. I purchased a new 2017 Subaru WRX for my wife in late 2016, which is deemed "the family car". I can appreciate the beauty of AWD, however I must admit we were spolied by walking most places or using uber

Now that I am moving to Indiana, I'd like some tips from the locals on a third vehicle. The new 2018 Toyota Tacoma OR seems to be a contender as it seems to have more offroad prowess that I will ever need and appears to be a good vaule. I acknowledge that my research has just began and I have a lot of searching to review previous posts, but as a supplement I would like to hear some suggestions about any experiences you may have with purchasing new Tacomas (preferred dealer?) and life in Indiana. With the Indiana snow, I need something in addition to the Subaru. Requirements are, it must be 4WD, have some 'ummph', and be reasonably good on gas mileage. I will resume my review of previous threads now, but just wanted to say hello! Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks!
