I just purchased a 2020 Tacoma 2wd w/ utility package. I was admiring my engine today and was wondering what the chamber was between the intake and throttle body. Is this just an expansion chamber for the intake?

Sorry for the stupid question but I have never seen an engine setup like this.

I attached a pic for reference and circled the part in question.

    Thanks!

It’s a resonator box to help with steady airflow and sound I believe and then of course that one hose that runs to what looks like an egr valve idk.
