    '10 Double Cab TRD Sport 4WD
    OK, I've heard people on here comparing and contrasting TRD vs. SR5 vs. Base vs. PreRunner. Well I have a TRD Sport that also has an SR5 emblem on the back.... How can I have both? What are the true differences between the 4? I've searched this to no avail. Thanks guys.

    TRD are options packages relating to exterior mostly- Suspension, Driveline, etc.

    PreRunner is a truck with a 4x4 type suspension, but not forward drive train.

    SR5 is an interior/trim options package.

    So you have the Color Match Mirrors, bumpers, the hood scoop, the non-progressive coils, with the TRD shocks for the TRD package, as well as the seats and the interior trim for the SR5....IIRC.

    Ummm...."good enuf" is a relative term.

    Can they offroad- Yes.
    Can they offroad as well as a 4x4- IMO...Close...but not quite.

    If you wanted a capable offroad vehicle- Starting with 4x4 and building capability from there would have been a better choice....imho.

    Throw a locker in a 2WD and it'll help...Throw a locker in a 4x4 and it'll help...but the 4x4 could already get into more stuff than the PreRunner could...see where I'm going with this??
