Noob questions about my Magnaflow, and a possible trade

I have a 4 cyl. prerunner access cab, and I installed the Magnaflow cat back exhaust on it about 4 years ago. I also have a CAI, and the truck is really loud, and although it does sound good I am wanting something quieter. I understand that the Magnaflow is a 3 inch pipe, is this correct? Is there another exhaust system I can install that will sound good but maybe not as loud? Maybe a 2.5 inch pipe? If anyone has something and is in Socal, I would be willing to do a swap provided it's not the stock exhaust and is in goo shape. My exhaust has about 8k miles on it.

 

Why not add a Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator? Should tone it down some. Toned my Maganflow cat back down.

 

I have never heard of this, will look into it now. On a side note, the TRD exhaust in a 2.5 inch, while the Magnaflo is 3 inch, is that correct?

 

I'm not sure about the TRD exhaust. But my Magnaflow is 2.5 inch into the muffler and 3" from the muffler back to the tailpipe.
