Traded in a 2010 5.8L Tundra DC Long Bed(12,605 mi) for a 2009 SR5 DC 4X4 Long Bed(79,800 mi). I got out of the 4X4 scene when I retired from the Navy, and was getting tired of being a computer potato. I no longer work on the house, so don't need that monster Tundra anymore.

Truck is still at Dealer going through their Certified Used process and it appears the complete 4x4 system was trashed. Well, I'd rather they find the problems and pay to fix them before I do.

I did point out to them the Taco I bought has Daytime Running Lights (RL) and has the burning/bubbling problem. Now I get to see if they take care of it.

Please reasd up on making sure it goes into 4WD every time. If the prev owner didn't, issues. Make sure they zerks on the drive shafts are used. If they didn't, issues.

You really need tro get under the truck with a certified mechanic, paying him $100 to make sure. Don't trust the dealer.

Dbl check for rust, might need a frame replacement....

Make sure your leaf springs are good, might need replacement.

    Hope this helps..............

Truck is still undergoing Certified Process, and mechnic replacing springs and all u-joints. Rest of 4x4 hardware may be damaged and they have said they will repair free of charge. Few Long Beds ever come to Arkansas, and I don't trust outside mechanics. Too many nightmares from the past. BTW, this truck is gold plated (IE Original msrp even though it now has 79K miles on it).

Landers in Little Rock can not keep Taco 4bys in stock, and used of any year are usually bought within a day. I got lucky

It's not that far to drive to Tulsa ;). I'm sure pre owned long beds are hard to find anywhere and they will get it in good shape and you'll have a solid truck.

Just got the truck from the shop. They replaced those 1200 buck headlights; also all u-joints were replaced. Everything was serviced. Not sure if trans was serviced though. Dang Kumho tires really sing very loud, and the steering wheel has a shudder because of the mud and snow tires. No lift installed 285/75R/16 tires.

The aftermarket audio head unit was replaced with a normal JBL 6CD unit and Backup camera display was moved back to the mirror. There was something wrong with that off brand head unit. Bit I now miss the 6.1" display.
