Noooooob

Hey all,

This past fall, I bought a 1997 Tacoma Ext. Cab, 3.4l, 4x4, standard trans, with 200k miles on it. I grew up in the rust belt, but after moving to Atlanta, I knew it was prime time to find a pick'em up truck. I love vehicles from the mid-late nineties in general, for their simplicity and often (when we're talking toyota) outstanding reliability.

The truck I picked up wasn't very well cared for, but I anticipated putting some work into it soon after the purchase. Already I replaced the front struts myself (with Monroe's -- shame me!), and had the rear differential seals replaced, along with brake shoes. While I was spending thousands of dollars at the shop, I also had them do the timing chain and replace the clutch entirely.

I'm fully embracing the role of 'friend with a truck', and I actually love it. Be it moving furniture, disregarding curbs, or long trips to goat farms to pick up manure.

Love my Tacoma, and I'll drive this mofo into the ground!
