With the money I have spent in ice this yr a fridge is starting to sound economical.

I can use it in the boat as well. Hmmm this just might work to sell it to the wife.

I've been trolling this thread....wishing I could roll up, wheel a little bit only to get to a nice spot in the beautiful pines, meet new folks, fish, swim, have a beer, etc. Hope all that go enjoy!

I've got about 2 1/2 hours to go. Definitely going to be dark by the time I get there.

Perhaps someone could place some sort of marker near the campsites that are available?

Had an awesome time! Super relaxing right next to the lake. Thanks a ton for saving us spots Nick!

Thanks to all for enduring the 1/2 hr scream fest on Friday night. The dude has a scrape on his eyelid. He must have got in it on the zipper and freaked out. Just glad it was 10 o'clock instead of 2... He's been on three trips now and everyone has always been super cool. Gotta love TW!

Fun trail ride up to the hard obstacle on Snake Lake Loop. I have a feeling Nick woulda gone for it with different company. A few more skid plates and a bit more testicular fortitude and I'll go for it one day...

John - awesome to caravan with you! Makes the drive much easier. It seems like Gabriel's got a lot more comfortable recently. He's a cool kid!!
Steve-O - my wife likes your truck so much she was asking me about long travel on the way home. I owe you a beer
Mark - good to see ya again! Your buddy chopping HUGE logs for hours was great entertainment. One determined fellow...
Jay - I work around swimming for a living and I wouldn't even consider jumping in the lake in the morning. Crazy fucker :D. Glad you saw that sidewall slice before you left!
Mike - Great to see you again. Cracked up after you hiked up Snake Lake obstacle.
Jason - love the look of those 35s!! Super cool of you to stop by in your long road trip
Lisa and friend - sorry if I looked like an asshat arguing with my wife while you were hangin by the lake. She's awesome and I'm a jerk... Kids will test your patience, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

I didn't take too many pics. I'll post em up later tonight... I've got some ideas for a late August trip around the Sonora Pass area. I figure it out and post a thread soon!

Yeah we went up from Gold Lake and stayed right to run Snake Lake Loop counter-clockwise. Nick was in front and got pretty teetery on the tip of the descent. There was a bypass around that spot but we decided to walk the trail and look. Then it got pretty hairy between the goalpost trees. Pretty off camber with some driveshaft and diff killer rocks. No way around major scrapeage. Half of us stayed close to the top and had a beer while the other half hiked all the way down to the lake. Turned the trucks around...

Thanks to Nick and Mike for getting there Thursday and holding it down. Everyone had a spot by the lake as one big group over 3 sites. Even had a random Tacoma hiker guy join the party. Good times were had!
