not to rain on anyone's parade or anything, but I've been to Carnegie SVRA and it honestly sucks compared to Hollister. I mean, I know it's a great middle ground for all us Norcal folks, but I'd drive an extra 2 hours south any day to wheel in Hollister.

The 'play' area in Carnegie, which is the ONLY area allowed for 4x4 vehicles, is perhaps 1/50 the size of the area we can wheel in hollister, plus there are only two small slopes, one of which is a rock obstacle course, the other is a small hill climb. We stayed for only 45 minutes before going home.

If ya'll just wanna go for a bbq, then it's all good, but if you guys want any kind of decent wheeling, go to hollister, trust me, its worth it.

    my .02

EDIT: Two videos of me wheeling in Carnegie (keep in mind this is all that there is to do there for trucks)

    oh okay thought so ha.

I think we wanna do just do a greet'n'meet bbq but yeah I have heard that hollister is better for wheelin'. The only probably with me is I am a prerunner so I dunno how good it would work out but I would love to go either in my prerunner giving it a try or with some one in a 4x4 but either way sounds good. There is supposed to be a Hollister meet soon alsoo.

The meet on the 9th is not specifically geared for off roading. I chose the location because it is central to everyone and the XRs can also meet up there, as well. It's just more like a meet-n-greet for everyone to hang out and get to know each other. Also, I would like to discuss a possible group road trip down to the tacoberwest later in the month.

I am pretty sure I will be out on this meet. I will be up at Markleeville, and screwing around on barny riley.

But if I am in town I will try to come over.
