lol no, but there was a 3500 dualie that tried to make it up with no weight in the bed. It had 4 tires driven, but the ones in the front with all the weight weren't doing jack sh*t except acting as an anchor.

it was great fun watching some chevy bronco come in over the snow bank and just pluck him out.

i finally told the passengers to hop into the bed and off down the hill they scooted.

another couple in a yellow wrangler, had apparently been on their way to *kirkwood and failed to see the "YOUR GPS IS WRONG" sign at the bottom of the hill. They were in the snow since 9AM. It was nearly 3pm when I saw them inching their way through a snow bank.

They had street tires, no lockers, no food, no water. A group from 4x4inmotion.com showed up and pushed them out with some elbow grease and gave them some food and water. They made it down the hill too. Fortunately there were a bunch of people out there today or else they would've been lost.

Wow! That's crazy! I've been wanting to take my prerunner(lsd) but not sure if I'd make it through.

i'm not speaking from experience here (since i don't have a prerunner), but you could at least make it up half on street tires, and maybe another 1/2 mile from that point if you had like 250lbs of sand in your bed over the axles plus decent MTs. The biggest problem for folks was basically having zero traction on the drive wheels. A Limited Slip Differential -should- help as long as you have both wheels on the ground.

I mean if you want to go, we could just laugh at you when you get stuck..

    ..and then pull you out.

    :p

Speaking of the GPS wrong sign, anybody see the prius that went a decent way in?? We were following him for a while until we stopped to air down.

Yeah, the one w/ the snowboards, right? Probably going to kirkwood too. I let them pass me when I stopped to eat my breakfast burrito. Then I saw them again when I started driving up.

    Did you guys pass me?

Had a great time nice meeting everyone I haven't met before and always good to see the guys I have gone out on other outings with before.

Next time need to go all the way to the end at least as far as you are allowed to go.

I was rolling in stock tires in 2wd for a majority of the way up. Made it to the spot where we took the group pic in 2wd. Airing down and having traction control helped out a lot. Turning all that shit off was where the fun was tho.

More snow and they stop vehicles where we had lunch. They put a big snow berm up on the road there. That whole upper section that was more of a mess will be snowmobiles only. So if you want to go further, it has to be before the next big storm.

Had alot of fun. I learned that my truck can power through the snow but its alot easier to just go slow on top of the snow...

That's good to know. I didn't think we made it to the location where they normally close it off.

we probably did, I'm right behind the tacoma in your first picture haha. Was with the solid axle silver 1st gen.

But it's more fun to use the power... we had a drag race between myself and a 1st gen taco. Most uneventful hilarious event ever. Made it to 4th gear but wasn't going any faster hahaha.

eric was asking the same question.

There were a bunch of T4R guys out there too. When we were leaving there was a line of like 15 4runners, tacos, FJs and hiluxes all airing up.
