I though it might a good idea to start a list of nor cal guys and girls that are ready willing and able to tackle some of the more challenging trails like the Rubicon so we can easily find names to PM for private trips to keep groups within there own limits and capability's. And to keep out unwanted guest(non members and lurkers), and keep the number of rigs down on the harder trials. I know this sounds like a dick move, but I feel its necessary in this day and age of TW. PM me if you want on the list as I will not always read every post. I am not here to judge your rigs capability or to tell you what you need, do your research, ask here or other threads, most of us are friendly.

    Is this elite or non-elite?

Do I have to pay extra to check my bags?

Lol Nick made one for 'veteran wheelers'... but it came off as a 'look what our trucks have' and everyone flamed that thread pretty quick. :bananadead:

Now I'm too new to TW and being a veteran wheeler I to think this is a great idea. I know I don't have all the goodies in my 01 taco so I like to sit at camp and drink heavily waiting for the really broken ones to limp home.
In the future I will enter the tough stuff again. I had to sell my 67 cruiser. I still whine about it and it's been ten years. Damn divorces!!!

Not a bad idea. What determines if you qualify? Do you submit a trail resume? That may be more important that what kinda truck you have.

Also put me under the IFS department please.

Just thought it would be nice to have a list of who is down for harder runs, so we could PM each other about trips. nick tried to get a thread going but keeping the old method of posting like we had going before but for vets. nobody seemed to like that thread and it lost steam. I figure this way when we want to take a run we can just start PM ing keeping runs smaller and with guys we no can or think they can survive it. my last two runs i started ended up being shit shows. That's not fun for me anymore. not saying i didnt meet some cool peps but I like to run some smaller groups on harder trails as I know some others fell the same. Do not be shy even if we don't know you, we can wheel together. I did Hell hole with a small group of guys i never meet. had a blast.

    A few things
Totally agree, you can throw all the money in the world at a truck but if you don't know how to navigate an obstacle it's useless. I used to wheel a lot in my younger years, but I don't get the opportunity much anymore so I'll stick to the mall, and hollister on occasions. Also spare parts should be highly emphasized on the more technical trails.

I'm not in here, but the get togethers and outings and trips happen and are talked about in private, even without the need for threads for who should/could come along.

Don't really see the point of these things except for some kind of hot internet exclusivity. Real or imagined.

Not sure you're on the list, bro. Lemme pull up my sat phone and see if you're allowed on trails or if you're keeping campfires going.

Shit. My cell reception is low and I can't find the thread. You're gonna have to try next time.
