That is right by my old cabin. Go up one more right and it's right there. Never ventured off that way before, might have to make a trip this June and check it out.

    How did I miss this?

I live in Sonora so this would be easy for me.

I'll try and swing it. Maybe day trip it for some wheeling.

Just a warning the south fork of the Stanislaus is charging right now. If you have young kids the water will probably be to swift and cold to swim in.

Also as far a some dirt roads to explore I've been meaning to drive Dodge ridge from long barn to Crabtree turn off. It might make for a fun drive.

Fun fact: Dodge ridge is the states longest ridgeline

dodge ridge to crabtree is pretty boring (honda civic could make it), unless you are going the Gianelli route via 4n34 to 4n24. Then that could be a fun 20 minute drive. I am not sure about dodge ridge, but some resorts have lift maintenance roads not on the maps to get to the top, they usually have some nice off camber about to tumble down the mountain sections.

I've done it just not in the last few years. More a scenic drive than wheeling. I was just throwing it out there for a quick trip to do with a stock truck. (Which mine is...) fun for newbs.

If eagle meadows gate is open Niagara Rim trail is fun. That would be wheeling.

If you catch it right (gate open) you can drive around the dodge ridge ski resort. It's pretty fun.

Oh for day trips. Niagara is cool. Eagle peak is very cool. I have some fun forest roads around the clavey with deep water crossings I did when pretty much stock when it was running low, other sides are fun little loose climbs. You can drive out to sandbar flat from the campsite. If hells half acre is open then you can get to a cool dam road.

I came to mod day so I wouldn't be a stranger and so I could invite myself on trips like this. So here I am. Is the list too long to take another? No hurt fillins if it is, I can catch a later trip.

Sold. Awesome. I can bring firewood, anybody coming from 925 can also come by my house and help split the wood between trucks if needed.
