actually, for Eagles Lake I'm pretty sure you can do it. I remember Jerry saying you can do the trail in 2wd if you avoid all of the bypasses.

DV on the other hand requires 4wd, sliders, armor, etc. It's a little more technical than Slick Rock

I'm going to add a poll to the OP to see where people want to go

Cool, I'm down. I was at the DV trip two years ago, when you crushed your door

I've kind of gotten in a mood where I'm trying anything, not letting locked 2wd shun me haha I've surprised myself up in Tahoe on a few smaller trails/water crossings. I'll prolly have sliders by then so I would be fine.

I just came back from eagle lakes over the weekend, depend on where trails you guys are planning to do, defiantly do-able for 2WD, like pierce trail.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Deer Valley is closed on the Eldo side of the trail. From Hwy 4 its about mile or so up to the top then the trail is in Eldo NF. This trail was closed a few years ago along with 41 other trails in Eldo NF. Some have reopened since. Some are still closed.

Not bad news, it's well known. We run it from the south entrance (Hermit Campground off highway 4) passed the rock garden to the river and turn around and go back to Hermit Camp. Hermit campground is pretty sizeable and can accommodate a lot of people. We had a pretty big group a couple years ago (summer 2013). Depending on the driver/rig capabilities, size of the group, and lack of food consumption...it can be an eventful day.

    And three blown tires.
And a UCA bolt falling out.
And a FJ fighting a tree.
And I forgot my effing coffee (god bless your wife)

On the bright side...at least there was no mosquitoes thanks to the rim fire.
