    its scary... the truckee river is sooo low my 5 year old could walk across it..

    which means not enough water for fish yet. :(

    Yeah, it's a pretty scary thought. If it's yellow be mellow!

    Not to get all hippy on you guys, but in one of my environment classes we did some calculations. With an average of 17 inches of rain per year and a 2000 sq ft rooftop, there is enough water to supply a family of four from the rooftop runoff. Everyone just needs a fucking gigantic cistern to store it...

    I'm not all for the hippy regulations, but our water system needs MAJOR overhauls. New reservoirs aren't the answer. Better use of gray water for irrigation. Plus the state system probably leaks more than we use. A drip per second is 2700 gallons per year. End of rant.

    I can't wait to go wheel though! I hope there's still water crossings for us!
