I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
I have it marked down on the calender. I think I might test the trailers abilities and tow it through the trail and make it a little more challenging for myself :D

Just wanted to give a heads up. Pincrest lake is only 30 mins or so from the trail and is a great place for families to hang out. In case anyone's significant other doesn't want to wheel they could head down there for the day. I think I'm going to bring my Fiance and daughter and they may just go to the lake instead, so others are welcome to join.

Hello guys; noticed a posting for the Niagara Trail on the weekend following 4th of July. Just to let you know that that is the date for the Niagara Rim Poker run hosted by 4X4inMotion and permitted by the Forest Service. This event attracts approx 75 rigs and a couple hundred people. Go to 4X4inMotion.com for details. You are welcome to join us for the event; register at the same website. Also you need to make sure Deer Valley is open as it was closed do to court order two years ago.

hmmm thanks for the info. This might put a damper on our plans. 75 rigs is a lot of rigs on a trail, add in our 10 or so rigs and we have a cluster F on the trails

what does everyone want to do?

    - Stay the course and join in with 4x4inMotion (registration fee $55)
    - Change location
    - Change dates

I'm up for a date change, and/or location. Not liking the idea of dropping $55 on top of the other expenses for this trip.

Edit, I'll ask for work to give me a list of available vacation dates and post up some weekends that work for me.

Change dates. I've been wanting to run this trail for a while now - just not with 80 rigs out there.. takes long enough to get 10 through slickrock  :p

However, if people are already set on this weekend then I'm up for another location. But we should definitely put this trail on the list for one weekend or another.

Yes 80 rigs are a lot but we divide the people into three groups hitting the trail at different locations. For the $55 you get the guided trail with spotters/ one meal; dash plaque and a raffle ticket. And 80 rigs is on the high side w/55 on the low side. As a side note; are any of you CA4WDC members. It is the primary 4wd organization in CA fighting to keep the trails open for us all. Check out their website; its an on-going battle against the extreme environmentalists who want to close the forest to motorized recreation. What ever you decide to do; good luck have fun and tread lightly.
