    haha sick!

OK guys. The OP is updated.

We just have to figure out what we want to do at Capitol Reef, and if you guys want to camp somewhere close by after, or go straight to Moab and just camp at Area BFE (2.5 hour drive from Capitol Reef).

I would be down to camp somewhere close to Capitol reef, we're gonna be in BFE way early regardless. But I'm also down to get to BFE as early as possible to get the best spots for the NorCal compound. So I guess I'm not help since I could go either way

Haha all good. We can play it by ear too. I'm actually going to book a return flight for my wife on Wednesday night or Thursday from Grand Junction, so I just want to make sure that we're in Moab by Wed

It looks like I'll be driving alone now. How bad would it be if I left Sunday the 24th early in the morning? Will it be hard to find you guys?

    Trip is coming up quick.

Any recomendations from the vets. Should we have all our meals planned or will we be stoping at restarants for food? Should we have food for the week or plan on hitting the grocery store in moab.

Anyone one down for some moderate and senic trails. Any vets want to spend a day leading the noobs on some easier trails.

Cant wait for this trip and I have so much to do. New armor (rear bumper, skid, sliders, rewire my lights, move my winch selinoid, put on new beefed up spindles, install my new needle bearing, and get an alignment.

They are talking non stop about bugs in the moab thread. I just ordered a bunch of different bug sprays.

I just went on Amazon. Got 98% deet, a bunch of 40%, bug zapper wand, one of those head nets for the wife, and two wrist bands that are supposed to keep bugs away for 100 hours.

Last year I got food for the whole week, but it really just ended up taking room in my fridge and probably wasn't the most efficient.

This year is a little different though, because we'll be camping for the first 4 days before getting into Moab. Once we're in Moab, you can get supplies no prob, so I'd just plan on bringing food for the first 4 days, then re-up in Moab. Some exceptions can be prepped food (marinated meat, etc) and other things that require a different ingredients, spices, etc that you'd want to leave at home.

Hey guys, a little bit of news...

I might have to bail from this trip :crapstorm:

I might be closing escrow the week of our departure, and I'll have to do a bunch of renovations before moving into the place. If it all goes through, I have to shift my priorities to the new house. BUTTTTT, you guys will be in good hands. If I have to bail, Jerry will lead the caravan and rest of the trip.

You never know with this escrow stuff- and I'm in double escrow (selling & buying at same time), so in case it falls through, or if it delays, then I'm in on the trip.
