The trails range from super easy to super difficult, and there are A LOT of trails. It all depends on what you want to run. What you have now will actually get you through a lot. Idk if you have sliders, but those are a must for some of the trails out there. If not, then there are still plenty of trails you can do without them.

oh then you're good to go! Jerry's brother made it through mostly everything we went through last year and he just has sliders and mud terrains. No skids, bumpers, winch.

I'll put you on the list!

So I mapped out the potential stops: Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, and then Moab. Again these aren't set in stone, it's just that everyone seems to be okay with whatever I plan lol. Just know that anyone can give input and at any point.

    Screen%2520Shot%25202015-02-18%2520at%25_3310c83693cb87b9f722c5155a3b351af1936215.jpg

The Bay to Zion: 10 hours, 45 min (705 miles)
(also keep in mind the time change once we get into Utah - 1 hour ahead)
Zion to Bryce: 1 hour, 20 min (72 miles)
Bryce to Capitol Reef: 2 hours, 30 min (112 miles)
Capitol Reef to Moab: 2 hours, 30 min (151 miles)

This doesn't necessarily mean where we will camp out, still working on that. I already have a place lined up just 20 minutes East of Zion National Park. It's right off of HWY 89 and has a great view of the area. It's also on the way to Bryce, so we can potentially stay here our first night before Zion, and maybe again our second night on our way to Bryce the next day.

Everything else is up in the air as far as how long we'll stay at each park and if you guys want to keep driving, etc. I'll look for a place to camp in between Bryce and Capitol Reef, and potentially another place in-between Capitol Reef and Moab.

    Thanks for the feedback guys

Saturday 5/23. If we want to get to Zion at a decent hour, we'll have to leave the Bay pretty early. But those are details we can work out when it gets closer

i am guessing 265 would be fine, but you are going to have more clearance with 285's

haha. Just think of your usual camping gear and you'll be good. This year I'll be bringing this hard core bug lotion/deet, because the small mosquitos last year were a PITA. And anything you miss, you can really just get in town. Moab is pretty big and you can get almost anything there.

Hope you can make it Mike!

again i'm pretty much down for whatever. a few pages back, folks said they'd rather take a straight shot to Zion. I just know that right around the 11-12 hour mark, I get tired and prefer to stop driving. we'll see how it goes

it really depends on what trails you want to do out there. ideally, 33"+ MTs will be better than anything smaller and ATs, but you'll still be able to do a lot out there.
