What set up do you have?

I'm thinking about changing my house battery. From what I've been reading on expedition portal the advantage AGM's have is they're maintenance free and don't need venting and they don't leak. The down sides is they're super finicky about charging so in a truck it's unlikely you'll be able to charge them properly and they'll take a shit pretty soon. And that's with a good charge controller. I have a CTEK D250SA that works well but I think my battery is about crapped out.

Sooo...basic flooded lead acid is kinda better because you can abuse the shit out of it charging wise and they're way cheaper. The downsides are they need maintenance and aren't sealed and need ventilation.

I'd love a lithium but not for $1000. Maybe some day when the prices come down.

Edit: Part of me wants to go with 2 6 volt golf cart batteries but it seems they only come in 200+ amp hours and weight 80 pounds for a pair.

Have a set of Relentless Fabrication bed bars for sale. 3 actually, only two pictured on my truck. Has hi lift mounts on one side and the other side for quick fist or whatever. Dual tabs on one bar for lights ect. $250 obo

Picked them up back in 2016 from a TW member (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/trd-rims-off-a-2012-tacoma.437916/). Paid 120 for them and 30 bones for the TRD center pieces. 5th wheel was an extra at a MOD Day (thanks Eric!).

I have some POS starter battery thats been slowly dying on me, time to upgrade it.

I have a Northstar Group 34 in the bed that runs the fridge and a cig outlet that's connected to my solar. I'd like to get an AGM as a starter battery and connect everything together, just
haven't looked into it too much yet. Mines worked well for the last year, and it was used. In full sun it'll stay at about 13.2 with the panels, and I drained it plenty down to 10 and back up, over and over and it still holds a charge.

I'm going to upgrade my charge controller this year as well, I have a POS Amazon one, need something that is more stable.

There's a ton of Don's around here. But I'm pretty sure @lucky13don is looking to lift his truck. We were talking about leaf set ups the other day.
