Having just gone through the process of refurbing my shell - i can tell you that glass is idiotically expensive, in addition to rubber, etc. Plan on spending $700+ minimum for factory stuff.

I stopped by Goodwill and got 3 used blenders, just in case.

Seller said nobody has looked at it and only one has called and they offered $600 which I assume is Ted? He passed as he is hoping for asking price. I have $750 cash and hoping its in great shape, and he likes how $650 looks when it's 2 feet away from his wallet and looking at him in the face.

If not, I'm prepared to counter offer with the stereotypical Craigslist trading fodder.

 

I got it for $700. Needs new hydraulics on the rear window ($49 at Campways) and a new screen on passenger side sliding window which is just regular screen mesh with a rubber piece in the groove. No cracks anywhere, paint has some scratches near the cab and chips, small chip in the bottom on the passenger side fiberglass, maybe 1/4 inch. Not much.

Anyway.. that's all the bad.

The good?
Sliding side windows.
Sliding rear window (at cab) AND DID I MENTION IT ALSO FOLDS DOWN?
Interior some light.
Interior carpet.
Thule roof rack with rails.

Needs a good cleaning in and out and the lock bar mechanism needs cleaning and lube. I can live with the paint.

I offered $640 and he balked. It was a son selling it for his mom so it wasn't the best situation to negotiate. He said no, he had 2 other guys wanting to come see it if I passed and I said fuck it, it had every option I wanted and would cost me over 2k to get a similar setup new. I'll give you $700 so I can save myself the hour drive to come get it later (if I didn't end up losing it to another buyer).

He even helped me put it on the truck!

Good Job. Yea that was me that low balled him. I offered 600 based on the age, 6 years is some wear and tear on shells, ie hydralics/screens/etc. but good job! If I was closer I would have checked it out in person.
