They're different widths for sure. The interior dimensions are almost the same but the edge where the shell mounts are not the same. The 05-15 are quite a bit wider.

Were you happy with the 4.56 and 315s? Would you have gone to 4.88 if you did it all over again?

Considering the the 315s x 5

 

Depends on how you drive TBH. I usually cruise at 75-80 or whatever traffic is doing at the time on my commute and with that combination plus the 6 speed manual the RPMs were a tad high for my taste. Even though you're farther into the power band running higher rpms like that, I just wasn't a fan. If I was gonna do it again I probably would have gone with 4.3s and those 35s. Excellent tires, Only been offroad once to Pismo, and worked extremely well in the sand.

With an automatic, that combination would probably be perfect.

If you don't plan on driving over say 70, 4.88s and 35s with an auto is probably fine as well.

I’m running 4.88s on 33s currently and love it. At 70 I’m at 2600rpms Actually almost bummed I didn’t go deeper as I’m moving to 35s and like how the 4.88s are with the 33s
