$2,000 for a used ARE? I could have sworn those models were cheaper, did they get more expensive?

 

Just to give an idea I paid 2,000 OTD for my leer R from campaways off of Pacheco. I think the ARE are pretty comparable in price.
My buddy said the Maaco paint for a camper shell is about $400

yep! Carpeted headliner, interior dome light, sliding side windows with mesh and the drop down front window.

Sounds about right. I've got a quote for $2100 including install (but not tax, unless I'm mistaken) for a black ARE CX with roof rails, headliner, and vented windoors from a place up in Concord.

Oh and a note on Campways, I used to consider them the best in the bay area. Seems like since they closed down Hayward and a couple of other locations their customer service went to crap. About a month ago I checked in with them on a quote to replace the rear door/hatch frame and glass after my garage door incident. They never returned my call/email. CustomTruck in Redwood City was on it, very next day had a call from them. Leer had to special order and its due in this week. You need any assistance with a cap, check in with Vito over @ CustomTruck.

 

Looking for a 16x7 to use as a spare. Preferably a split 3-spoke alloy from a 3rd gen 4R if anyone has one or two sitting around.

This is what I mean by that flipper guy in Santa Clara. I Linked this shell from FB marketplace which was for sale for $550 and now he’s trying to sell it for $1900. If you zoom in you can see the little paint blems on the back right corner to confirm. I understand it’s his business but still sucks he takes away these good deals from someone who really could have used a good deal

Hate that dude. Took me 3-4 months but I finally beat him and snagged my Leer 100XL for 750.

You gotta be fast. Texted my guy 10 mins after he posted it for sale. Found out later flipper dude was right after me.
