I see a lot of people doing it. Some come with extra reinforcement, not sure if necessary for a RTT or not

Edit- I don't have one nor do i know shit about them

I have the same shell..it's rated to 150 pounds. The roofrack on my shell is 6'9". Even if it could carry the weight I don't know how my truck would handle with a RTT that high up.

Going to be almost impossible to find a low ish miles 4x4 for that price, especially a 3.4
What do you mean by the smog friendly?

Re sealing the pan is not hard a friend and I just did it on a 3rd gen 4Runner in a few hours, it's not a gasket though it's FIPG in a tube so I'm not sure why he has a gasket? I've never seen one at least and to my knowledge you're supposed to use Toyota FIPG.

@Jmarv22 save until you have enough to get the one you want. Starting off by getting a cheap one that needs work will only suck up money for mods on regular maintenance. You'll want to get it to the point of solid reliability before you start the mods and that will only take longer if you're starting with a beat down truck. Do it right and be patient. No I would not spend 8k on 230k truck.

    Dadmobile...

Just sayin... 2nd gens aren't really all that much bigger... Rear facing car seat behind your short wife or in the center will work fine. At least until the dual kid mod happens.
