I think it was because they were hiding their license plate. I see a lot of pics on CL like this. The fact that they can't edit the pic, or throw a piece of paper over the plate is another issue.

    Ha!
I tried to understand the reason for covering the license plate, but never heard an explanation that made any sense. There was a response like "because you have to, Stupid!" but that was about it.

I think it's because people think others would be able to find out where they live via the plate.

    Ha!
I suppose they can (probably not through DMV, but everything seems to available somewhere online). But what use is that? Vehicles and license numbers can be seen at an address anytime. PS Not trying to be a dick, just curious.

Does anyone need a single BFG A/T KO in 275/70/r17 to use as a spare tire? I'm buying a pair of used BFG's with 50% tread but only need one for my spare tire. If anyone is interested I will sell the other one for $50 OBO (i'm buying the pair for $100).

I'll sell you my spare for cheap! I have a brand new 265/70/17 dunlop dueller (stock) that is currently on my spare tire but doesn't match (size) the rest of my tires.
