    I would do it thick so if you ever decide to take the dip off it'll come off easier. The thiner the coat the harder it is to take off later down the road.

    x2, Thats what I did, except I did the spray bedliner. Worked great. Took a drill mounted sanding disk before to rough up the chrome. I was thinking about plasti dip but given that I use the bumper as a step quite a bit and whatnot, I didn't wanna take a chance of it getting scuffed or peeling.

    I removed the bumper and the plastic pieces. Then scratched the chrome up. Spayed a few cans of bedliner and put everything back together.

    Yeah I learned the hard way that derp is best laid thick, and Jason - when I re-derped my wheels this last time I didn't bother taking them off either, just put a dog poop bag on the caliper and sprayed. :anonymous:
