So true. Went on a trip last November. We had rain the day I left. Went to pick up a friend and had some difficulty braking at a couple stop signs all loaded up with wet rotors. I did not like that feeling. Started to smell them after a few stops.

If I could pick one upgrade that was totally worth the cost, it would be the brakes. All V6 1st gen owners (esp. DC owners) should upgrade their brakes, stock trim or not.

 

This why I have a BBK from StopTech(sitting on a shelf). The current hurdle is the whole new wheels and tire thing...

 

What about the Tundra upgrade? Not sure it will clear 16” but it’s own let’s. There is a thread here somewhere with all the pet numbers

2nd gens are the same. That's what I have. He'd have to go with the Lexus GX/4th gen 4Runner 13WH calipers.

 

This might help. Some gen4 have larger ones, most have the smaller ones WG like I have.
Need to find the larger 1s myself.

I did not but the previous owner said it was the best thing about his truck

 

I talked to another user on here awhile back who had the lift with the tent who said that he liked his but it leaked quite a bit.

 

He had a RTT. He said he used the bed mostly for his bike stuff

Looking for a 3rd gen longbed Softopper if anyone's got any leads. Missed out on the last one

 

Just curious, what do you gain with these? Not meaning mpg or power.

 

it's an intake, less restrictive than stock, but I added an air compressor under the hood so I needed the extra room.

 

I feel like we missed out on something here.
