I had a gun once. Then it got stolen. Crazily it happened right when all the Nazi AR laws came out :anonymous:

I'm always jealous of my cousins that live in Amador county, they both have CCW and they got it by just filling out a request. So lucky.

Relocated here 18 yrs ago from Colorado where your vehicle is considered an extension of your home. Loaded handgun in the glovebox? No prob. Buying a gun? 10 minute background check same day cash and carry. Sonoma, nor San Francisco where i used to live will give me a CCW. lame-o, rant over

@LTDSC how's the permit process for Solano county? Any special circumstance that you have to list? Not planning on carrying it on my person, but don't want to separate the ammo from the piece when I'm transporting it in the vehicle.

It's not a terrible process. Request an interview, now all the paperwork is online. The Sheriff is very nice and wants to get to know you as he's essentially trusting you with his reputation. You do need a good cause statement to show you "need" a concealed carry for your daily operations. If you use work you will need a note from the boss explaining why and it's a good possibility it will be a shorter term CCW than most which is 2 years before renewal.

To your other statement. It's now only a misdemeanor to be in possession of a firearm thanks to Jerry Brown. No longer a felony. do as you are comfortable with. I'd say if you're not going to keep it on your person daily. Why apply.

I cant wait to move out of cali. They treat people like babies in cali. I can not stand this state with all the bs. I can not even order stripped lowers online. I had to wait 10 days for a new .22. I would have to jump through so many hoops for a ccw in my county. They say 3 letters and I have to show I need to carry it. I highly dout they will allow me. I never been in an trouble with the law. Cali just ignores the rights of people. Its sad. Ok think I am done ranting now.

    Wrongo.

    CA has no issues.

    Your county is the problem.

Several counties north of me, they hand CHLs out like cookies.

    Enjoy Nevada.

Its not just the counties. The Ar stuff is for the whole state. Have you seen the new AR stuff? I was talking to a cop in town and he has to move all his guns out of state. The state has a lot of silly things. How do the counties make up their own stuff? What county do you live in where they just hand out ccw? They keep making new laws that even the cops do not know what they have to do.

Your whole post was about CCW, not ARs.. until now.

    So CA sucks. Sorry.

Now you're just finding reasons to support your point instead of listening that it's wrong.

Google is your friend if you want to use it.

I want to learn, thats why I am on here to discuss topics. I have done the research for where I live on the ccw. I was talking about the state as a whole. I was unaware of other counties as I do not live in them. Your statement if true is a good thing. You dont have to have a negative attitude just because someone had something wrong. Not here to have a pissing contest I want talk to other people who feel the same way and maybe learn at the same time. I could google shit all day till my eyes bleed.

I got my CCW rather pain free and my AR just has a maglock on it. I have really no complaints besides the roster limiting my buying options.

What do you think about 10 rounds mags only? That one gets me, you have to have many ready or you spend lots of time loading your mags. I make the wife reload them while I shoot, then I do the same. I been traveling out of state to a nice range and bring the 25 mags with and have way more fun.
