Slept 9 hours last night. Friggen tired.
We hit the delta. The wind was indescribable. Finesse fishing was foolishness. The boat was moving too fast in the wind and current.

We caught dinks casting to the docks in an effort to get out of the wind. I did manage a great JIG caught bass in the tules. He wrapped me up badly but swam free. A 3 lb largie. She hit and fought like a freight train. she was taking line. I kept the drag loose to assist my relatively light line. It was so cold out. I had to wear a down jacket most of the day.

Picked up a new kayak on Saturday. Had to drive to Chico to pick it up which sucked ass, but made the most of it and fished lake Oroville with my brothers while up there.

Love the kayak so far. Going to make a few mods and add a trolling motor before its perfect in my book.

    As for fishing:

-Saturday at Oroville I got 4 spotted bass. More of a test day with the kayak, but it was cool to hook into some fish while we were out there.

-Sunday at Lake Sonoma I got a couple largemouth but it just wasn’t my day overall. Broke off on something massive in some brush.... lost a handful of baits in snags, and there were boat waves rocking me all afternoon.

Finally starting to get excited for the Delta. May be there this weekend looking for some pigs.

Does anyone have an extra trolling motor battery laying around that I can buy cheap or borrow for a month or so? I have a lithium battery on back-order that isn't shipping until May but wanted to start using my trolling motor on the water in the meantime.

Faack. I want a bass boat. Hell, any boat.

I sat on my kayak for 9 hours. More than 8 miles. I think I got 10 fish. One of them was a 3 lb small mouth. I’m really tired sucked I didn’t bring a single thing to eat :)

I was deeply worried I was headed to a skunk when I found them.

    lake Sonoma is doing alright.

That’s not a deep cycle battery, right?

ah yeah idk if that will work if its not a deep cycle battery. I'm not a battery expert either, so not sure if it will or not either way. lol. I think I found someone who has one they aren't using... going to give it to me. If that falls through ill text you man! Thanks for sending yours my way.

I visited a pretty secret place.
Pulled out several good ones, but the big fish of the day was the 3.5lb girl.

Hit the delta today... we did good. I ended up with 20-30 black bass and 1 striper. Feels good to have ole’ faithful (the Delta) back.

@Tee Arghhhhhh Dee let’s get you some fish in that damn boat!
