i put my hand on my night stand/shelf seems to help.

Ive avoided fishing with all this wind, just not as enjoyable.

Also helped my dad wire up his Humminbird 360 transducer so i want to go try that out soon.

I crap you not. yesterday was crazy. Kat was catching bass after bass. he was so successful, he simply quit telling me about them. I would see him let one go, maybe to spare my feelings. hahha.. my stubbornness didn't let me tie on what he was throwing. stupid me, besides the wind was so fast, I suck on that bait in wind. I snag a lot when my boat drags me and my lure into things like trees.

I was well on my way for a skunk. bad. I got a tiny 8" fish and even that threw my hook. whatever. 5 minutes in, headed in to the launch point AKA "muddy ass bank in muddy ass water". I felt a tick on my drop shot. with measured careful breathing, so I don't blow it. I got a keeper in the boat. 5 minutes later we were out of the water. PHEW!!

my last skunk, I affectionally call - January 2021. it would have sucked to turn the counter back to zero yesterday. I cannot wait for the spring winds to be a distant memory in my brain.

i swear Luke is some fish whisperer. I have not seen someone catch as frequent nor as consistent as he does.

lol! Yeah I've been lucky lately.....dont jinx me!

I went back out to Sonoma yesterday afternoon after work and worked some of the bank on the kayak. Ended up with 10+ smallmouth and largemouth. At one point I had a nice smallmouth hooked on a jig and as I was battling him, two other GIANT smallmouth were playing tag with it next to my kayk - so cool!

    We did good!

One of the bass I hooked into swallowed my hook too far and I couldn’t make the save.... so I took it home and made some bass/potatoes instead:

I haven't fished for them yet this year, but I have heard they are catching 'em pretty good throughout the Sac river around downtown.
