    This is a good spot.
Fish Hat Creek to the North. Where the Lava Rocks and burned tree snags are.

Forgot to add . Fish Hat Creek North if the campground in the Lava Rocks. Deep Pools and drops hold better fish. And your not far from Baum Lake.

I was on dog duty all weekend (wife left out of town) so I couldn’t go far from the house. Ended up hitting Lake Sonoma for a few hours and ended up with 7 or 8 fish. Mixed bag of largemouth, smallmouth and a freakin’ catfish! Sucker ate my senko!

Got out to Hat Creek this past weekend. Had a 20 plus brookies and a handful of rainbows, non greater than 12". Mostly on adams and stimys. The girlfriend was also slaying with an average of 10 a day. I'll be back. Pics to come.

Not exactly sure. We were all over the place from old station and into the park, just too much water to cover in one weekend coming from Oakland. Would love any recommendations. DM me if you're not into hot spotting and we could some trade spots. Most of the stuff I get into is more on the disperse side of things.

If you were on Brookies , definitely Broke off. And it's Beautiful there too. Nice job. Another good spot is North Battlecreek Reservoir . Head waters of Battlecreek. PGE Campground. Better with a tube or non gas boat.

Should try it. My buds did really well on the Upper Sac this past week throwing mepps and and small spoons from a boat.

well, that was tough. hot as hades. and the water was so stained. looked like old failed anti-freeze from a rusty radiator. bright green and rust colored. and it was so smelly. smelled like a rotten bog.

I caught three fish. lost a couple of whoppers. it was so hot I got the occasional shivers. I quit at noon and escaped back into my AC cooled truck.

The bass are so skinny right now. They still hit hard and fight back. 5F77D6EF-7DDB-4606-B547-FE0272B8EB6B.jpg

I was talking to a guy at the Lake Sonoma boat ramp yesterday and he said on Saturday him and a buddy caught over 20 at CL. Nice boat with a big motor... so they were able to move through a good part of the lake in only a few hours of time.

Much respect to all you kayak fishing pros, especially those who venture out into the ocean. This is exactly why I could never do it. Say what you will but yeah, that'd be me and the very next day my kayak rig would be in the CL thread... hahaha

Yeah it’s one thing to hop on and take off for some windy conditions at one of the lakes or the delta… but the ocean? Fuuuuuuuuck that! It would take something crazy awesome to get me to hop on my kayak and float around the ocean. I just think about not only what’s swimming around/below, but how unforgiving the ocean really can be. One wrong move and it’s easily “game over.”

Also, went to clear lake today. Didn’t get to fish for more than an hour or so, but ended up with two decent bass on the frog. So fun watching them blow that sucker up.
