That would blow. Imagine having a freezer-filler of a stringer of fish and a seal comes up and snatches all of it. I’d be livid.

Met my brothers out at the delta for a few hours. It was low tide the entire day so fishing sucked major. Ended up with a few bass between the three of us, and I hooked into a NICE rainbow trout.

Anyone else make it out today?

yeah, went out this morning with a buddy. We drove separate, brought our own bait n tackle, and stayed 6ft apart or more the whole time. Modern fishing... we each caught 2 stingrays and he reeled in a big Dungeness crab, a first for me in Alameda. Was a female, we put it back

Spent the afternoon tying leaders. Egg loop knot is my new jam! Will definitely help cut bait stay on. My pool noodle is stocked with high-lo and fishfinder rigs now

Edit- I tied them mostly with circle hooks. Was using bait holders today and missed a couple, 2 I’m sure it would have set with circle hooks

As of now, sounds like you can still fish the Delta and whatnot. Wouldn't surprise me though if they cut that off by the end of the week.

it would be nice if they allowed single-or 2-person activity... just like taking a walk solo or with your partner.... i'm thinking to try hitting up a beach, but i heard ppl flocked to the beaches this weekend so maybe that might also be restricted soon

I'll be bummed as hell if they start closing down all the waterways too. Yesterday in one of the sloughs while bass fishing, we saw actually quite a bit of activity-the most I have seen in that particular slough. Few people fishing from the bank, a couple boats going by trolling, a couple kayakers, etc. Guess we will see what happens as the next few days come around.

I saw that too...some photos of a few beaches in SoCal, and they were CROWDED. Definitely doesn't help with keeping some of these lakes and shit open for others.

Did you get out before they did? I’ve got a little pond around the corner of my house. Might just go throw a lure or two if they’ll allow it :anonymous:

Nope been working from home so haven't been able to get out, was planning on going out this weekend.

The dumb thing is they shut down the Lake, but the Beaches remain open. Like wtf?

Probably going to happen. Shit the reason they shut down Clearlake is because of all the fucking morons calling the Sheriff's Office asking if they're enforcing the Lake being closed due to the shelter in place. First they indefinitely suspended the sale of the Quagga Mussel sticker, then it was the whole Lake is closed.

Yeah I see it coming. Berryessa wasn’t packed but busy. But people were on the individual boats which by the letter was ok. But we all know these situations change by the minute.
Sucks. I just want to fish and be back to normal.
