Lemme ask my dad. He may not want it because he’s got a hard on for casting reels for the finger hook but he liked mine I bought from you earlier in the year haha.

Haha! That’s awesome. Yeah they are great rods, I just never use them. I end up moving them around all the time until I finally realize it’s better to try and sell. Lol. But sounds good... text me if you want it or nah. I’ll probably be going to sac here soon, so I can drop it off on the way.

Beaches are a 'soft' closure; that is- the parking lots will be closed to limit visitors. i read on another forum that 2 guys got $400 tickets for fishing together by Martinez PD. they were told that it is ok if done with members of the same household only..

Anyone going out this weekend? Lot's of craziness going on, but I think I'm going to find a secluded piece of the delta with the kayak and try for some chunky bass.

So what or where is this coming from? This is Sunnyvale ordinance? County? I have not heard of anyone getting fines yet, but I want to make sure I'm up to speed in case its more than just that immediate area.

bear in mind that alot of fishermen are debating if they can go or not. I don't know there posters in real
life, and haven't been on those forums long enough to know if someone is just spreading stuff or if they are fullof BS, or if they are legit.

another person responded, saying rhey work in LE in a rural area of the CA, and it often is guided by the agency head and the peace officer's discretion.

personally, I think the 7-bay area counties are taking this with all seriousness and makong sure no one gets leniency, since we are so densely populated... and people are not giving each other the 6-foot space. i'm going to copy-and-paste parts of the post that (i'll assume) are direct from the order and not opinion of a poster, myself included):

    · Executive Order N-25-20 by Governor Newsom, dated March 12, 2020: All residents are to heed any orders and guidance of state and local public health officials, including but not limited to the imposition of social distancing measures, to control the spread of COVID-19.

    Statutes

    · The Governor’s executive order (requiring compliance with the health officer’s order) has the force and effect of law, and refusal to comply constitutes a misdemeanor:

o Gov. Code 8567, subd. (a) [re: powers of the Governor under the California Emergency Services Act]: The Governor may make, amend, and rescind orders and regulations necessary to carry out the provisions of this chapter. The orders and regulations shall have the force and effect of law. Due consideration shall be given to the plans of the federal government in preparing the orders and regulations. The Governor shall cause widespread publicity and notice to be given to all such orders and regulations, or amendments or rescissions thereof.

o Gov. Code 8665: Any person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter or who refuses or willfully neglects to obey any lawful order or regulation promulgated or issued as provided in this chapter, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine of not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) or by imprisonment for not to exceed six months or by both such fine and imprisonment

Maybe those tickets were as a result of not keeping social distance, since they were 2 people together- maybe not for Not-Shelter-In-Place - maybe it's less
likely to get a ticket if you're out there solo

That would be my first thought too and would make more sense. Last I heard, you were still able to go outside for walks, runs, etc. but that you still had to keep distance.

Has anyone ordered any gear off places like TackleWarehouse lately? Pain in the ass with delays in shipping, etc?

Good to know. Need to drop some coin on some 2020 gear as well as stock up on more jigs and whatnot. With Sportsman's Warehouse closed (closest outdoor place to my house) until April, everything gonna have to be online for awhile for me.

Yeah the Rohnert Park one is closed until at least that April 7-10 county/city deadline, but I can't see everything opening back up by then. We seem to be just getting started with this Covid-19 shit.
