For Sale: Goose Gear Drifter Cabinet Combo $4500 plus extra stuff

First, this needs to be said; this is a used bed build-out. It has been used on several trips. It’s handcrafted and high quality.

The Goose Gear Drifter cabinet combo was designed by the folks at Goose Gear in partnership with Vagabond Outdoors. The baseplate and cabinet combo is designed for the DCSB Tacoma(translation: the 5” bed). I don’t know if it will fit any other platform. It is up to you to do that fact finding(it will fit a longbed Tacoma with a few caveats).

The link to the Goose Gear website that lists all the components can be found here: https://www.goose-gear.com/collections/vagabond

I will not entertain shipping this. It is far too bulky for me to try and make it all work.

I may be able to have it stored at VO HQ. You may also be able to have VO install this if you are still waiting on a Drifter in production(I did verify that VO can install this for you).

I do still have a few other components that might be able to be included in the sale of the Goose Gear combo that compliment the combo itself(ie, water storage tank, storage bags, tie downs, etc).

I am selling this because I have decided to build a flatbed specifically designed for the Drifter. I will share more detailed info as I get further along in the build process.

And because of the flatbed project, I will have a 2015 DCSB complete bed for sale. It is cut for fitment of 35”s+ tires size. The bedside and the flares are trimmed to match the front fenders. It is also cut for a High Clearance rear bumper(which will also be for sale).

I can offer it all up as a combo sale if someone is ready for a bed build-out, high clearance rear bumper and trimmed rear wheel wells. Although, I doubt someone will pony up a sum large enough to encapsulate the entire package.

    Pictures coming forthwith.

I removed the cabinets the other day and here are the pictures of it out of the bed.

[Edit] the e-panel with the inverter will not be included in the sale of the Goose Gear.

I'll be interested in the bed/bumper when you get that far.

If flatbedred passes on your rear bumper, let me know. I saw your truck at BAMF a few weeks ago. I'm in line for a drifter...but I'm pretty far down the list.
Our trucks are cousins...i have a 2015 Tacoma TRD Pro access cab! Its about to not be much of a pro as well, once this order is lifted and King can finish my order!

Yeah man, I’ll put you right behind FlatBedRed. Truthfully, I’m hoping to off the bumper and the bed at the same time. Just ‘cause I don’t want to store either.
Part of me thinks I should have bought the accesscab TRD Pro instead of the DCSB model. I thought by getting the four door my wife would be encouraged to go camping with me. Apparently it didn’t matter what kind of truck I have for the camping vehicle, she’d rather be in an RV...
Oh, and when your ready for the Drifter, let me know we can meet up for a dual ProBro photo!

Thanks! Yea I have no idea where I am on VO's list, but probably pretty far down...its all good, I can wait.
Yea, I came from a 5th gen 4runner...2015. I was done building it and didn't feel like going LT with it. I went from a RTT to full interior buildout with Trekboxx sleep platform. Did 20 nights in it last year with my pup and decided I needed more room. (I'm pretty sure I camped with some of our mutual friends!) Found this AC Tacoma last Fall luckily in Ukiah, and now have a garage full of parts, with some already installed. Going LT with it and just waiting on the rear triple bypasses to start. I was just thinking of building a flat bed too while I wait for the drifter...definitely keen to follow your build!

Good luck with the GG sale!

I’ll be building 2 flatbeds. One for the “play” truck and one for the “work” truck if everything goes as planned. If your Bay Area local, I live about a quarter mile from the VOHQ as the crow flies. They build an excellent product. I’ve been super stoked on mine.

Good price on the Goose-Gear system. Even a new one will get dusty and scuffed up on the first trip.

Truth. It’s actually very easy to clean up though. I have it tidy for whomever decides they want it.

I have had several inquiries but no takers as of yet.

That’s part of the reason I am starting this project. The truck is a toy now. The work truck, not so much.

Hahahhaha. I’ll see what happens after I build mine. My design ideas may not be something that people are interested in. But, you never know!
