I have legible handwriting (yay for Catholic school and academy) AND a shitty memory, so if we do handwritten name tags I will volunteer to write them for anyone who doesn't wanna write their own. Plus then if I write it down, I will actually be guaranteed to remember the names.

    :)

Bummer! Elk? Where were you guys hunting?

I spent a while yesterday figuring out how to hunt in CA, decided I want to fill my own freezer next year. It's definitely not as simple here as in other states I've lived, that's for sure.

    UPDATE:

Ok, I spoke with a nice gal who organizes events at the Roadhouse and I explained what we wanted to do. Her main concern is that we would be taking up a huge chunk of the parking lot for a few hours and her other concern was that if we ate earlier, (say a late, late lunch kind of thing), it would be easier for the Roadhouse to accommodate all off us without jamming up their dinner rush.
In looking on satellite images, it does appear to be several lots right next to or across the street from this place. I suggested that if we can do that it would not impact the restaurant's dinner customers.
I understand her concerns as we tend to hang out for awhile and 30+ trucks is going to take up a lot of space.
She said the owner is on vaca and will give me a call soon so we can figure out something that works for everyone.
I will have to scoot up there and take a look around, my thought is that one of the adjoining lots could have a business that is closed on Saturdays or otherwise wouldn't mind us parking there.
My question to you guys is would it bug anyone greatly if we moved the start time back to say 2PM? I think if we get in and out of the restaurant by 5pm it would work for them.
    Thoughts?

I honestly think it's bull shit were bringing 30+ people to eat and drink there they will be making tons off us so it's shouldn't be a problem for us to come and eat/drink. It's not like were just hanging out in the parking lot we are going in a eating we should be able to go without an issue.

My point is that I know these places have a hell of a dinner rush, they are pretty popular as the food is pretty good. I'm willing to work with them if they are willin to work with us. Jerry, we would take up either half of the front lot or the entire back line of the rear lot. I'll trip up there and check it out. I'm not stuck on this place but I like the grub.

I agree. If this WASN't an organized meet by us then there will still be 30 patrons with 30 cars. So not only do we NOT park on their lot, they want us to push up our time.

    2pm? I can't make it. I'm out.

Yeah and? we are part of the dinner rush :D hell our 18% tacked on the bill would be more then 4 or 5 tables. You should of just said you wanted reservations for 30+ and not said anything about the meet. " were just having a family gathering for dinner "

Judging by her request, the place must get busy at dinner and or it's difficult to seat 30+ people.

The difference in arrival time is only an hour or so. I don't care either way.

My point exactly, if it is laid out the way I've seen at other Roadhouses, we would be taking up an entire section of the restaurant. Plus if past events are any indicator, we don't just get in, eat and split, we like to hang out and talk. I've had to wait 45 minutes just to get a seat at one of these places.

I'm game for that. It's still close enough for the Sacto peeps. And much cheaper too. And more comfortable. And we won't get kicked out. Yay for you, Jerry!!
