SCSPerformance, you will not have to take the line the FJZ80 is taking in the picture but you will have to get to this point before cutting hard left, which is the easier route.

I would probably go through Stockton and hit up HWY 4 from there, as oppose to going through Sac via HYW 80/50

    yeah you're right. i didn't even bother looking at the address beforehand. i thought it was somewhere near tahoe:eek:. it's 580, 205, 5, 120, 108, ....

east bay guys can meet off of Marina exit in San Leandro in the parking lot of Marina Square. in front of nordstorm rack, there's a big parking area. just a suggestion.

oh tite! yeah he can show us all up lol

I was looking at the link you posted, it says we can camp near the trailhead, in the Silver Creek area? Is that cool? Or would you recommend somewhere else?

Yea when all the Saturday morning guys decide on a time and place I'll update the OP

Yeah its actually really nice but to get there, you will prob have to wheel in the dark to get to it. Nothing crazy but at night it is a different ball game.

The area is huge. Can easily fit us all. Me, my wife, my dog and brother may camp friday night there. The other issue is how the morning guys will find us as it seems those guys have never been on this trail. Could always shoot for a meet up at the bear valley gas station at like 8 am with one of us to lead the group to camp. Its the only gas station before hitting the trail, can't miss it on the left. It is roughly like 5 miles before the turn off towards the trailhead.

Yeah that is one of the smaller areas, there is a lot of room for camping. With it being a non-holiday weekend I don't think we'll see much traffic. I only ran across two rigs the whole day but it never hurts to get there early to hold down the fort.

We can roll together. Doesn't matter to me, I can take the day off, or work half day. Whatever you guys are down for. I'll wait on Jerry to chime in, even tho he's probably only thinking about MOAB right now lol

Maybe we can meet near the 580/680 area and head East from there? Or maybe just meet in the Stockton area?
