Treading lightly always. I'm thinking with all this traffic me and my brother might wheel else where guys. Last weekend was good for me. ;)

    My suggestion:
east bay guys can meet off of Marina exit in San Leandro in the parking lot of Marina Square. in front of nordstorm rack, there's a big parking area.

It looks like it's a 3.5hr drive so that means we need to leave around 4am to get to the gas station, meeting spot, around 8am.

Anyone else leaving early on Saturday?

    When I go same-day-skiing I don't drive away from my house till 5AM. :(

I just started giving more serious consideration to joining the "friday night camping" contingent...

BTW for those planning on camping at utica/union. Watch out for the "lady" ranger who will issue tickets for anything. Fire permits are available online now. We will be camping out at the lake or off the fire road. Feel free to come by and drink some beers, we will be there friday.

Well according to Cha, Silver Creek (where we might camp) is a little into the trail. So it might be a little difficult to find in the dark.

bmase11 do you have CB or FRS?

Finding the camp site is easy. Going to be big opening with water flowing over granite. Getting there in the dark is doable just kinda uneasy if you never been on the trail.

Go to the bottom of the web page where the map is. The third yellow point is where the campground is. As you can see the campground is in a ways. You guys could always camp where we have from years past off HWY4. Alvin and Jerry knows where its at.

Well I sure hope you guys arent passed out by 9 :p but I was thinking more about not being able to fish or go shooting.. I've been on the trail and know about where you guys will be at so that shouldnt be a problem. I dont have a CB as of yet but I'm probably going to pick one up before this trip.
