Is anyone driving up on Sat? My friend got a new position at work and leave till around 4. I'm over driving up around 4 since traffic will suck and I have no clue where I'm going in the dark. I was thinking of leaving early Sat and spending the night Sat instead.

What time are you guys planning on wheeling?

All good! Thanks for the heads up Cha. Let me know when you get that heep ;)

sounds good. I'll be bringing a good amount of chicken to BBQ for everyone. The potato salad would be a good side for it ;)

James is out? bootsy! And don't worry, camping will be a lot of fun. This will be a good trip to pop your 4wd and camping cherry

    no prob next time!

sandwiches might be a really good idea for the day time and on the trail. if someone can volunteer to bring some bread and sandwich meat, that would be awesome and we'll be set. Like I said, I'll be BBQing some chicken, if anyone wants in on it, just bring something else for the group.

Some other suggestions for people to bring: snacks, drinks, other food to grill, other sides, etc

    4 MORE DAYS! :taco:

Let's roll out at 9AM. That'll give us plenty of time after so we can hit up Corral Hollow. I'll update the OP

Ok I'll probably leave SC at 4:30 am to make it there in time and drop some stuff off at the campsite.

If you guys forget anything and need me to bring it up on Sat let me know. I'd be happy to take some stuff up with me.

Just check out that map in the OP. Off hwy 4, you'll see the turn off for Lake Alpine. Go in there and stay to your right. You'll see the trail head "SLICK ROCK OHV" Go into the trail a little and you can't miss us. Once you're on the trail, there really is no way to get lost.

If you're the only one coming Sat morn, we'll just make sure we don't leave until you get there. Check with younglexx, I think he said something about only camping Sat night, so idk if that means he's going up there Sat morning.

Sounds good with me. I'm giving myself extra time to get up there just in case. Hopefully I don't get lost like at White Rock...haha. I'll check in with younglexx as well. Thanks MJ!

It's going to be a little late but I just got a flier for REI's sale this may 17-23 or something. They had some nice tents on sale and other camping gear.

I have some kind of issue with my front end. I hear a clunk in my front end but can't figure out what. I hear it at different times: sometimes when I turn, sometimes when I brake, sometimes when I drive over a speed bump. Either you guys help me figure it out and hopefully fix it before the trail, or something's gonna probably break on the trail lol

I'm not going to be able to make it. I'm stuck in WA until Friday evening for work and I don't think I'll be able to get everything together to roll down there in time. My exposed air intake doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy right now either :anonymous: Hopefully I can make it next time!

You guys have fun out there and stay safe!

Thanks for the update guys. Next time!

Still unsure what we're going to do the 2nd night. I'll leave that up to everyone else. I'm down it switch it up and go somewhere else, but people pitching tents might want to stay put, so whatever everyone else wants.

Haven't really done anything. It just started doing it occasionally, then more frequent. If you're available anytime this week let me know. I'll be in San Ramon all week. If not, no prob I'm not really sweatin it

    @MJ

    • How many miles do you have the truck?
    • Did this clunking ever happen before Pismo?
    • Any play in the steering?
    • Is your alignment good?
    • Any strange tire wear on any of your wheels?
    • Any visible cracking on the cv boots or loose sections where dirt could have gone in through the sides?
    • Try lifting your front end up with the high lift, listen for strange sounds like popping
    • Can you record the sound for us?
