    I was getting bad signal at 100' away so the guys hooked up a SWR and tuned it now it won't work at 10'

    Chris(CMJ) has skills. He tuned mine for a few beers and it works great.

    Sounds like a bad cable more than a badly tuned antenna.

    That's what we were thinking as well I need to pull it off the radio side and see if it soldered right the antenna end wasn't.

    I can build you a custom cable on the trail, I think I have enough wire, connectors, and electrical tape.

    The solder is a bitch on that connecter. Also the ground on the other end to the mount needs to be good. There is shops around that are really good with this stuff. I had the connection on my mount wrong when i did mine.

    Thanks. I spent last night wiring and bolting on rock lights under the truck. I cant wait to finish it tonight. Today is going to go so slow at work. Ill be pulling up to camp around 10 so Ill be doing some night offroading.

    And John. I had an extra light so there will be one behind the grill.
