I want to do White Rim Trail. It's supposed to be best done over a couple of days to hang out, chill, relax. Put up some awnings, nap out under the stars kinda stuff.

I think August would be a great time to watch the Perseids.

AND, my stock truck could totally do it. :p

    Do it.

Long, beautiful, insanely scenic. Good camping and fun driving. Obviously not your typical Moab challenge, there are some white knuckle switchbacks but certainly not anything difficult. That being said it was actually a hell of a lot of fun to drive. Once in the canyon floor the road stretches out for miles of rolling single track. I had a blast driving it. There is a (suggested) 15mph speed limit, but much of the trail has excellent visibility and pushing it a bit more through the whoops always put a grin on my face.

Being my first trip to Moab and due to limited time, we only did Top of the World (Pics here (http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/moab/331576-top-world-white-rim-05-2014-a.html) and white rim, so I was left wanting a bit more technical/crawling action, but for those of you who have been there multiple times, and conquered many of the tough trails, I recommend this one as a relaxing way to spend a few days. And hey, you might actually make it out of this one without breaking your truck!

Unless you drive off the road that is... (Mj :)

    It's a long way down!

If you can't bang it out, you should be able to get it straight using a press. Then weld some angle iron on top like this ___/\___ to keep it from bending again.

Funny, when we saw the trail from atop Canyonlands, and saw how close it got to the edge in some areas, my wife says, "You're not allowed anywhere near that cliff!!" haha

Moar clearance :) lol. But really, adding a little reinforcement would be a good idea.

Usually when I camp the glock 19 comes with. I wouldn't call it custom... But it is a discontinued color :)

    no worries! handle that baby!

Hey guys, just a heads up, although it's June, the place is 7000 ft in elevation so it'll get cold at night - probably in the 30s over night.

But if you have a tepui you will be nice and warm....:)

We went camping last weekend. Our friends were cold everynight. They were in a 6 man ground tent on air matresses. My wife and I were in the tepui on a real matress. The space is small and the canvas is thick so it was warm for us. We ended up using a summer bag instead of the winter ones. Tepui's FTW. Plus the view in the morning above the ground is always worth it.

If my sliders come in on time and I can get them mounted I'd be down for caravanning on Fri.
