It ain't going no where, I check it every other week and it hasn't loosened a hair at 175 ft/lbs.

Ok, guys, here's the deal. Long travel= extended axle rods. my spare axle isn't extended. So I have to remove the piece of axle off of the axle rod that connects to the spindle and use my spare axle to replace that part with. It's not just an easy axle replacement or I'd figure that out on my own lol. I have to physically break down 2 different axles and swap parts lol. Hence why I'm asking for assistance :)

Nice, didn't know you finished your swap, congrats! I'm impressed, not sure I would take on a 4wd swap myself. There is a slim chance I can make the meet but my daughter has a soccer game that day (not sure what time yet) and my wife/the family might be going to Napa that day for her friends bachelorette, otherwise I'd pick it up myself.

@VolcomTacoma so here is the deal. I have built 5 LT axles (3 for me and 2 for @stroM- ) and I have had to cut the axle shafts on all 5 to press out the axle. I tried the youtube pipe method on 3 for 8 hours and was unable to remove the axle without cutting it. You will likely need to buy a new axle shaft and OEM axle for the repair. You will also need more than a 20 ton press. I used @JLee 100 ton press on all of them after almost breaking his 20 ton press. You will also need new internal C clips to reassemble the axles. I heard the TC ones come with those though. If not you will have to hit up Toyota. Tc axle install instructions attached below the video.

Axle video will be posted below. The pipe method doesn't work!

@VolcomTacoma I may have an outer OEM axle assembly for you that I can give to @JLee in a week or so to prep and he or you can bring it on mod day so you will just need a new TC axle shaft, assembled wheel bearing, cv grease, hose clamps, c clip, and new axle nut.

@Mademan925 I have a spare OEM CV Axle, but I really dont wanna drop another $600 on axle shafts right now lol. Guess I'm going to have to though lol. At least then I can just get 2 new ones assembled and just swap out the whole CV axle and figure out how to disassemble without cutting the Camburg shaft up

I would buy one new shaft and Ill get the outer axle I have prepped. We can swap it on mod day and then you can try the pipe method on your own time later to try to save the shaft. Then you will have a spare.

Not sure if same for 1st gen, but the hub assembly is bolted to the spindle on 2nd gens.
Four bolts, easy. Maybe someone can chime in if it's different for 1st gen.
