I'm unable to do any work because of a recent surgery, but would like to come by to meet some fellow TW members. Will bring something to throw on the BBQ.

If someone wants some free rear airbags and can remove them, they're yours. I need them off to get the leaf spring recall done. I don't know anything about them as the PO had them installed on my new to me 2011 access cab. Will post pics if anyone is interested.

Damnit, this is the second time I have wanted to join you guys but will be fishing the eastern Sierras. I just got my suspension from @HeadStrong Off-Road and wanted to install it but am not fully comfortable doing the whole thing myself. I have a buddy up in Arnold that wants me to come and see him but I sure would like to meet a few of the local TW guys and learn a few things as well. Oh well hopefully next time I can make it.

Looks like we have a short list of mods, so I'll be tackling a bunch of mods of my own. Hoping we can get around to most of them.

Food list looking kinda slim, so I'll bring some burgers

@Toynado @siznarf - you guys will have driveway/garage priority with the suspension components.

Little bit of this and a little bit of that but stock af.
Does anyone know approximately how much beatings it takes to fit a 33” spare underneath. Might need to do that

Is it cool if I bring food and beer and help out but don't have any mods of my own? I can also bring my hi lift if that helps

No beating necessary, just need to cut off a little bit of metal - I have an angle grinder for that. Easy peas

Of course come on over! No hi-lift needed. I have two, and a floor jack.

If you're talking about the driver side carrier needle bearing vibe thing.

@dome joel did it last time. @Mademan925 has the tool. his neighbor @Tac0maSteve needs to do it too, so maybe you guys can do it together?

the original needle bearing pops out pretty easy.

    But you'll need:

    • tool to remove bearing
    • socket the same size as the replacement bushing to tap it in
    • deadblow hammer
    • seran wrap
    • new diff oil and pump
    • drain pan
    • paper towels
    • some gloves are helpful

It's like a 2hr job, 1hr if nick takes apart all the stuff for you.

#protip -- freeze the bushing before you try to put it in, it'll shrink it a few hundred micrometers, enough for it to be tapped in vs being hammered in.

after cutting, sand off the burs, after that, you can use a piece of sliced rubber hose to protect the tire from marks.

i mean, you'd freeze it the morning of before install. if you had cold spray, you could probably use that to freeze it too. just make sure to cover it in grease before you do it so no corrosion happens and it doesn't stick to your fingers, tongue, eggplant, etc.
