Is replacing an oxygen sensor as easy as I think it is? Just pull the old one out, put the new one in, and you're on your way?
Does the check engine light go away automatically or do you have to reset it after you fix the problem?
In addition to my water pump leak, I took my truck to Toyota to investigate the check engine light and they said that it was the front oxygen sensor that was bad. They've already ordered the part, but I'm wondering if it would be easy enough for me to just replace that to avoid their labor cost. I looked it up in the FSM for my truck but it just said to replace it...didn't really say how.

Im assuming all youd have to do is undo it, clean the area, then put the new one in.
Also unplug the battery to reset the check engine light.

Then again ive never done it.

^^^ correct. unplug your negative cable, swap the new o2 sensor in (1 bolt, 1 plug) and hook the battery back up and it's all gravy

    ...too much shit to list.
I mean, it depends on what kind of wheeling you do, but doing a shackle flip like that you'll gain droop, but at the sacrifice of uptravel.
And from what I saw, you'll end up with less overall travel. To me that's a lose lose situation.

Just make sure to put anti-seize on the threads of the new one or you will never get it out again.

Ooh, I didn't know that that's all you had to do to reset the check engine light. Thanks!

    Thank you!

Any particular kind? I did a quick search on Napa's online store and they have 17 different kinds.
