    So i decided to rebuild my beat up mountain bike. Stripped the gear selectors and other necessary things off another bike. Got it all fixed up and it was riding smooth, until i changed to the lowest gear.
    The bike decided to commit suicide and twist the derailer and chain together, bent a small part of the frame and when it bent the derailer it stripped the hell out of the spot the bolt that holds it down and bent the metal rod that goes through the center hub.

    Guess its time to build a single gear mountain bike lol.

    OH my. You didn't have the limiter screws adjusted. And you didn't have a derailleur hanger? You bolted it directly to the frame?

    Im not 100% on what parts are named, i just know how to pick things apart.
    Its not a total loss though, i bought my bike for 30 bucks 2 years ago and have been Frankensteining it. Ill still ride it haha.
    I might buy a decent bike soon though, something in the 200-300 range.

    OH! And whats your site called?
    I should become a member so i can learn the correct names for parts and brands and all that.

    Thanks MJ :) Hope to get it fully hooked up this Saturday if my new coax cable comes in. Tomorrow I'm buying bolts at home depot for the mounting bracket for the radio and the PA horn and will mount it.
